Salty’s at the SEA: Reviews & Ratings

Salty’s is one of the nicest dining experiences I’ve had inside an airport. The interiors are beautifully designed and genuinely make you forget you’re in SEA. It feels more like a standalone Seattle restaurant than a terminal stop. We visited at night and the warm, cozy lighting added to that feeling right away. The restaurant was lively without being too noisy, and everything felt very clean. My only small wish is that there was a dedicated hand-washing area inside the restaurant instead of needing to use the airport restroom outside. We ordered the half-pound prawn cocktail, fish and chips with lingcod, and a bowl of clam chowder. The presentation was lovely, especially the prawns served in a cocktail glass. The fries were some of the best I’ve had, and the clam chowder was rich, flavorful, and packed with seafood. One bowl was enough to share between my wife, my three-year-old daughter, and me. Everything tasted fresh, though the prawns could have been slightly better. Service was excellent. The staff were friendly, attentive, and clearly well staffed for how busy the restaurant gets. It was also very family friendly. We were able to comfortably fit our stroller next to the table. Overall, this is easily one of the best airport restaurants I’ve been to. Great food, welcoming atmosphere, and thoughtful design. I would absolutely return on my next layover at SEA

Food was really good for airport food! Service was 10/10 I wasn’t super hungry so I ordered the crab toast and added an egg. It was AMAZING! I would book a trip just for an excuse to get it again! (NA) berry mule had amazing flavors. Great NA options.

Overall a great experience, Raquel, the host, recommended me some items such as the crab toast and the seafood chowder. Camille, my server, recommended the same thing as well as the oysters since I was only at the airport for a light bite. The crab toast was wonderful. Chowder was amazing with the variety of seafood, a nice Smoky flavor and a creamy base. The half dozen of shuck oysters was good. However, I felt that the cooks should have completely dislodged the oyster out of the shell. As a result, it was a little challenging to remove the oysters. The minionette for the oysters was a nice flavor and went very well with the local regional oysters. I have been to the Portland Oregon salty's location and expected the same result. If not better. Highly recommend for people who want to grab a quick bite. Prices are a little high but the seafood and quality was very good and the service was exceptional.

Pricey but what airport food isn't. Service was great on Christmas day and was able to recommend excellent options. Clam chowder is good and very thick and rich. The stuffed salmon with saffron risotto is a must, so creamy yet light

Salty's at the SEA provided the perfect dining experience from start to finish, even for a solo diner. My server, Isabel, was an absolute delight—attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly. She made my evening even more special. The food was truly exceptional. The seafood chowder was phenomenal, with a rich, creamy base packed with fresh seafood. I was especially impressed that they use non-GMO oyster crackers, a detail that shows their commitment to quality. The fish and chips were equally fantastic, featuring a perfectly crunchy breading and flaky fish inside. While the prices are on the higher side, it's completely understandable given the quality of the food and the current minimum wage exceeding $20/hour. It's clear they invest in both their ingredients and their staff. The huge windows offer a spectacular view, which was an added bonus as I watched the airplanes take off and land. It was a beautiful backdrop to a wonderful meal. I can't wait to come back!

Cheryl was my server. Super sweet, attentive, and knows how to read a room. Had to get some work done in between flights and although I love meeting people and chatting it up with any staff, I appreciated the minimal interaction when eating solo with the laptop out. I got the Mediterranean Mussels. Good portion, but needed a little salt, tasted better with the garlic bread in the same bite. Their World Famous Seafood Chowder was really good, recommend 10/10. A little pricey, but that’s seafood in general. A must go-to stop for layovers in Seattle for sure!

This was the first place in Seattle for work that I got to sit down at and eat. The ambience was amazing. Really enjoyed a nice crisp glass of wine and some really good airport oysters. Service was great!
